Communication/Collaboration – demonstration of collaborative problem solving – communicates effectively, constructively and positively with staff, students and parents. – engages positively and effectively with school staff, including administrators, teachers, paraprofessionals, building staff, etc., as an effective member of the team – promotes positive public relations, e.g. the provision of health services a) care and analysis of students` health records. (b) prepare, record, update and follow the recommendations for visual and auditory screening. c) can record the sizes and weights of students and provide the necessary health advice (i.e.: To provide food and exercise) for students. (d) maintain records of in-depth physical examinations, dental examinations, vaccinations, new student records, transfer results, doctors` notes and parental correspondence. e) contributes to the formulation and maintenance of health concerns – preserves the confidentiality of both academic and health records. – offers emergency response for students and/or staff in case of sudden illness or injury.

(a) report emergencies to the school nurse`s team leader and get advice from the school nurse when he or she is unsure of a district directive, procedure or crown mandate. (b) initiates student accident reports in accordance with the district directive. (c) keep a daily record of all visits to the Public Health Authority (d) provide summary reports, including vaccination surveys, sight and hearing preservation reports, a report on visits to the Public Health Authority at the end of the year, a weekly report on diseases transmissible to the CCDPH, the annual inventory of stocks and equipment of the Public Health Bureau. – assists teachers in their requests for health education and audiovisual material. – assists students, staff and parents in the affairs of the Public Health Authority. – has an active license for the registered nurse and the current certification in CPR. – administer and monitor medications administered at school, subject to district medication administration guidelines. – help to transfer child abuse if necessary. – assists the nurse`s team leader in assisting staff in special health procedures, diseases and blood pathogens/universal precautions.
